Parallel Computing

Parallel and distributed computing studies how multiple processes cooperate to solve problems and deliver services. Communication, coordination and resource allocation are central challenges: a system must make useful progress while managing competing demands on processors, memory and networks.

This research interest brings together models of concurrent execution and practical cloud-system management. The publications below address synchronous and asynchronous message passing, resource allocation through mixed-integer linear programming, and proactive cloud fault detection. Together they explore correctness, efficiency and resilience across interacting computing components.
